Balancing Rock jabalpur

Balancing Rocks is situated at the base of Madan Mahal Fort, 6 km from Jabalpur, near Shailparna. Though Jabalpur is known more for the famous Marble Rocks, there are many other interesting facts including the unique topography of this place. Jabalpur is covered by low and rocky barren hillocks, mostly formed after a volcanic eruption that must have occurred millions of years ago.
Balancing rock is an independent rock precariously balancing over another rock. The upper rock balances on the base of the lower rock; the area where the two rocks come in contact with each other is about 6 sq in. This balancing rock has sustained a powerful earthquake of 6.2 on the Richter scale and has not fallen apart.
Many visitors come to visit this unique sight. The physics of these rocks has also attracted a lot of geologists who keep visiting this place.
One can walk further up to the Madan Mahal Fort and take a look around or climb up the watch tower in the fort complex to get extensive views of the other rocky formations found around.
Vehicles are easily available to this tourist spot from Jabalpur.

World’s first White Tiger Safari mukundpur  Rewa

Powerful roar of white tigers  rever-berate in Madhya Pradesh’s Vindhya region as the world’s first White Tiger Safari  in Rewa, which was once home to this rare breed of the big cats. “The world’s first White Tiger Safari  at Mukundpur near Rewa where the first white tiger was spotted by erstwhile ruler Maharaja Martand Singh in 1951 from

Sidhi forest area (it was named as Mohan),” Madhya Pradesh.

The white tiger was caught by  Maharaja Martand Singh on May 27, 1951 from Sidhi district’s Bargadi for-est area and later the animal was brought to Govindarh Palace in Rewa. Mukundpur area about 14-15 km away from Rewa. Mohan then remained in the area for over two decades and its progenies spread gradually to other parts of the world, Shukb said. “Though its progenies made their home in different parts of the world and zoos, they were found in their place of origin till 1976 only,” he said. “Now, the white tigers would roar again in the area after nearly 40 years once the safari would begins.  The zoological park already existing in Mukundur will now be known as “Mukundpur Zoo and Mohan White Tiger Safari” while the breeding centre will be named after Maharaja Martand Singh, he said.

Day-3: Rewa to Sanjay Dubri Tiger Reserve

After Breakfast you will drive to Sanjay Dubri Tiger Reserve which is 130 K.M from Rewa. On arrival check in at Parsili Resorts located on the Bank Og Banas River. Post Lunch you will get ready for After Noon Jeep Safari. Overnight Stay
